[A Flintloque Reloaded Scenario for Three Players]

Introduction

The fishing villages along Albions north coast have never been prosperous. A bad winter and poor catches can push the inhabitants to the brink of starvation.  Heavily burdened transports, laden with goods for Londinium , pass by daily. And many a hungry belly would wish a strong storm, to smash the craft on the in-shore rocks and bring relief . And many a hungry mind would be tempted to set up a false light on a headland to lure such a ship to its doom...

Map & Setup

There is no map provided for this scenario. The table should be setup to represent a cove with a wide sandy beach. There is an unclimbable cliff face to the northern and western edges of the table. The militia, the crew and the barrels do not start in play. The Wreckers can begin play anywhere on the beach

Scenario Objectives

The Wreckers must try and get as much loot away from the shore, a good haul tonight and it will mean the organisers have plenty of time to reloacte to a different section of shoreline and hopefully dodge the local militia's current drive against your livelyhood.

The Militia arrives with plans to arrest or kill all the Wreckers, if a big enough blow can be dealt to them tonight it will break thier horrific hold over this part of the shoreline.

The Crew must survive and also dish out a little pay back fro being lured into the rocks and having thier livleyhoods destroyed and thier freinds killed.

Game Length

This game scenario ends automatically upon the completion of either the Wreckers or Militia's objectives.

Victory Conditions

The Wreckers win if they can carry 15 barrels off the eastern table edge. The Militia wins if it manages to kill 18 Wreckers. The Crew wins if it manages to kill 12 Wreckers.

The Crew

The crew are not part of a section as such, since they come into the game individually, they can operate individually. As each is washed ashore, his characteristics can be determined:

Race (roll 1D6):
1-3: Orc
4-5: Rat (Joccian)

1-3: Raw
4-5: Average

All generated crew are of Guerrilla unit status. They can also take weaponry from fallen characters on the beach.

There is no total force for the crew.

Scenario Special Rules

Barrels from Beyond: Each turn 1D6 barrels will be grounded. Each will appear on the shore D100cms from the eastern table edge. Each  barrel should be rolled for separately. Any of the barrels of supplies can be picked up and carried. Whilst carrying them characters suffer a two column shift penalty to movement. They can be used as large improvised weapons.

The Crew: Each turn 1D3 crew will swim ashore. Each will appear on the shore D100cms from the eastern table edge. Each crew member should be rolled for separately.

The Demon Drinke: During the game both the Wreckers and the Militia (but not Borke himself) are subject to the temptation rules found in the Alternative Armies supplement “Distractions & Asides 1. The Demon Drinke” which can be found in the files section of Alternative Armies Notables Yahoo group. The crew are too concerned with enacting vengeance to worry about the booze.

Throwing Rocks: Any of the characters may throw rocks as per Alternative Armies supplement “Distractions & Asides 2. Thrown Rocks & Knives” which can be found in the files section of Alternative Armies Notables Yahoo group. For this scenario no roll is required to find rocks to throw as there is an abundance of loose rocks from the cliff as well as the occasional large shell. These rocks can also be used as small improvised weapons in melee combat as per the normal rules.

Wylde Magicke: Both players should roll for magical abilities for each of their characters as per Alternative Armies supplement “Optional Rules for Magicke in Flintloque” which can be found in the files section of Alternative Armies Notables Yahoo group.

Scenario Notes

An Orcs in the Webbe exclusive !

This scenario is one of Matthew Hartley's Flawed Gems. I have added to the original text and also have made changes to the scenario in order to match Alternative Armies new scenario format and make the scenario more accessible to players of Flintloque Reloaded.

The original draft of this scenario, with no modifications, can be found here.
