Introduction
Panzerfäuste is a fantasy skirmish ruleset loosely based on the second World War. Set in the fantasty realm called The Land it features standard fantasy races such as Orcs, Dwarves and Elves fighting out battles with 20th century weaponry. The core game revolves around a system called Guts which helps simulate all the vagaries of modern warfare including morale and fatigue in one simple mechanism.
The Rules
Wessex Games have released a stripped down 'lite' version of the rules called Panzerfäuste Unarmoured which allows you to try the game with the goose-stepping Dwarves verses the cheese loving Gnomes.
It is available as a free download here from Wargamingonline.com
The full rules (which include stats for many more fantasy races, full rules for armour, optional campaign rules allowing character development, details of all races involved in the war with the Dwarves, maps of the theatre of operations and three introductory scenarios) can be purchased from the Wessex Games website.
